~ Carrot Top ~ NEW Cross Stitch Pattern

Good Morning Friends & Folk!
~ and a very happy COLD Wednesday to us all...

I've just listed a brand new, 1st of the New Year cross stitch pattern for you
in my Etsy shop

"Carrot Top"

another one of my smaller, quick-to-stitch cuties ~
stitched on Osnaburg using one strand of floss over two threads of cloth...
 ....look at his sweet little face!

I finished the project into another sawdust-stuffed pillow,
and stitched an additional tiny carrot, just in case he gets hungry.

🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕
 Have you still not tried cross stitching on Osnaburg??
available in most every fabric shop, or big box store like Walmart & Hobby Lobby ~
it comes in 'natural' & 'bleached', but I prefer the naturaul and I stain/dye mine with a walnut dye, tea & coffee mixture...I also toss in some ground cloves and cinnamon too ❤

it is much easier than you think, if you stitch on linen, then you're already good at it!
I prefer use a good hoop to hold the fabric taught...

as you might tell,
I am a right-to-left, full cross cross stitcher!
meaning,
I begin my work in the lower right corner and stitch right to left,
completing each cross as I go...
surface stitching is FUN & fast!

I also love using Ball-Tipped cross stitch needles when I cross stitch.
I get mine directly from Sullivans.com ~

...now you may love or hate these needles,
but for me personally, they are a game-changer.
they don't splice fabric or floss threads, and the ball tip is so small
that it truly does glide through the open weave of my cloth...
{{ plus, they can't stab you . lol. }}

kindly forgive my farmwife hands & nails)

ok! well, that's it for  today...
I have to get back to stitching!

{{{ I'm working on a seasonal series of four small,
cohesive cross stitch patterns that I hope you will love as much as I do! }}}
and sneak peeks of the first one in the series will be shared with you soon
on Instagram & FB

Such a sweet little guy.
I don't stitch often. I have never stitched on Osnaburg nor used a ball tip needle. I stitch left to right and I use the stab method. No wonder I am the world's slowest stitcher...lol!

Lori, love your carrot top fella! And never apologize for your hands. They show a well lived life. Can you expound on what size Sullivan needle you use for various flosses or fabrics? Thanks for sharing all of your creativity. Pam
