~ In the News ~

Happy Sunday Friends & Folk ~
keeping well and healthy I am hoping?

keeping our hands busy and our minds off of certain lifestyle-altering events
can help reduce our stress immeasurably ~
and stress is the number ONE cause of lower resistance and immune system problems!

Recently, on one of my favorite Facebook Groups,
the Prim Stitchers Society {aka: PSS} someone posted a photo
of one of my earlier cross stitch club designs, and asked where they could find/buy the pattern...

that got me to thinking that I should really release them to the public
...now that it has been a few years.

So I will do just that.
There will be a total of 18 small, quick-to-stitch and easy-to-finish cross stitch projects ~
some are 'seasonal', and others are 'everyday' designs.

the two collages below show the individual photos of the finished models that I used for the club;

Below Collage:
top row: Spools of my Thread, Happy ThankHallowMas, Patriotic Fan Pinkeep
middle row: Snow Pants, Garden House Pin Tuffet, Tansy Cat
bottom row: Lady Bird, Melancholy, Folk Tulip Needlework Station

Below Collage:
top row: Folk Bird Needlebook, Sewing Basket Scissors Keep, Little Red Schoolhouse
middle row: Hand & Heart Hanging Pinkeep, Queen Bee Needle Poke, Merry Gathering Basket
bottom row: There's No Place, Strawberry Basket Pinkeep, Alpha Basket Needle Roll

So,
as soon as I can get all of the files ready, I will release the patterns in our Etsy shop ~
I am hoping to offer these as both PAPER/Mailed and PDF/Download...
BUT I may not be able to get them all in PDF format from my older computer,
so it is what it is ~

Hoping to work on this task tomorrow
and have them uploaded into the Etsy shop by Wednesday ~
I'll post here on this blog, and on FB about this for those who follow there too!

especially from the back view of my work ~

and I have already begun sketching up the next three for the year ~
it's been so cold that I have been huddled  in the farmhouse under blankets and double layers...

my embroidery is on hold for a little bit, but I will be working on the next one as soon as I can ~
in the meanwhile, Robin & Jenny {and Tiny Cat} are pinned to my wall and are good company
while I sit and stitch in my favorite chair:

oh, yeah...it's His favorite chair too...
like a perch just for him to watch the puppies and goings-on of the farm ~

'oh, hey...'
well I guess I'll have to wait until his nap is over ~
might be a while.

OH! I almost forgot...

~ Monday Morning Musings ~

Good Morning ~ Friends & Folk!

I just cannot believe it is the 'end' of July already, can you?

oh how we wish Summer to come, then
we wish for the cooler temps to return once again.
ah well, so is life…seasons come & go.

… spent some time in the garden last evening when the sun wasn't so harsh.
I like to wait until it slants behind the trees a bit
so it's not too unbearable ~

I caught these beautiful
Yellow Swallowtail Butterflies visiting our smaller herb garden,
gathering the sun-warmed nectar from the tiny flowers on our butterfly bush:

Here's one happy friend that doesn't seem to mind the scorching heat & sun,
~ our huge sunflower!
… we measured it at almost 12 feet tall
and it continues to grow inch-by-inch everyday,
while producing multiple blooms on it's trunk-like stalk.

did I mention this was a 'volunteer' plant?
yep, we didn't plant it.
must have come from the bird feeders ~
what a sweet gift from nature!

~ the very tip-top bloom is lifting it's face to the sunshine ~

Our tiny lemon-yellow day lilies are almost spent now,
just too hot for them…I guess.
I look forward to seeing them every year,
~ then it usually gets to hot
for me to enjoy them for long!
*sigh*
