~ Whale's Tale ~

Good Morning Friends & Folk!

it is hot. ok, no more about that.
{{ except that the cats are panting, and when cats pant…well lets just say it's hot!}}

it is this time of year that I miss terribly living by the water ~
… I miss hearing the seagulls and smelling the fresh salt-air.

I miss seeing the sparkles on the waves and collecting seashells
and eating lobster and clams fresh from the pot.

in my mind I visit there quite often on these muggy humid days,
 wishing I could ride my bike to the beach and dip my feet in the cold water
and dig my toes deeply into the clammy-sand.

I am working on another little punched project to take along with me on Saturday
and of course this one has a nod to my love for the ocean & New England.

}}} a little whale {{{

using a collaboration of Valdani & DMC threads
adding just enough detail, but keeping it primitive & folky…

I love my seashell collection ~
& have many from all of the beaches & shorelines I've been to in New England!

I'll be finishing the background up today,
then will mount it to this box that Peter made & I painted ~
{{I know I'm going to love this when finished!}}

*Friendly Reminder*
the farm shop will be CLOSED this weekend!
but do come out to the show and visit us :)

Good Witch Mary ~

here is the painting I finished last night of my
Good Witch Mary going for her Broom Ride (well, ok Whale ride)...

this will be listed on Ebay today ~ for your amusement.
Click on the link on my sidebar, upper right.....
I'm thinking of painting one for myself : I never keep anything I make and I do love the folk art look of this design (as you can tell by the needle punch yesterday, I'm a little obsessed!)

I'm doing a series of my Good Witch Mary 'inspired' folk art:
hooked pieces, punched designs and paintings...
I'll be combining them all into one large format, spiral bound booklet and offering them for sale as line drawings...that way YOU can stitch, punch, hook or paint them to your heart's desire!
I'll update on the progress of the booklet soon!!!!
In Other News... I will be announcing soon the
WINNER of the 'name the pattern game' that I posted earlier this week...
with a little twist, so stay tuned for that too!!!

AND,
I am finished with my first pattern design for Country Sampler's
Prim Sister's Club!!!

it's called the SOWING Sampler and I will be sharing pics of that soon too!
it will be available on their website soon, for more info click on the link ~

Wow!
lot's of news today!

have a beautiful weekend my Friends!

Blessings from the Farm!
