~ World Embroidery Day ~

Hello Friends & Folk ~
Happy Thursday to us all....

are you celebrating today?
have you gathered your linens, cloth, threads ~ needles and hoops?
will you be starting a brand new project or finishing off one already in progress?

will you be taking your embroidery on the road with you today?
stitching in the car, in a park or simply at home?

However you decide to celebrate ~
may your day be filled with sweet tender stitches...
may your needles be sharp, your hoops tight ~
may your threads remain untangled,
...and your hands be gentle yet swift.

Love all of these, Lori. I've posted some of my pieces on line. Right now, working on a big hooked piece!

You are such a gifted needlewoman...and artist. It's impossible to pick a favorite out of these lovely works. Working on a little folkart bird while praying the tropical storm headed for us turns. We are looking at a wet weekend...made to order for stitching. Stay safe and well.

Yep....what Mugwump said...truly gifted....and too difficult to play favorites... (but, dang...that kitty and those rabbits are really climbing hard and fast to the top of the list!!) Happy World Embroidery Day to you...I didn't realize it was....but probably wouldn't have been able to work a stitch in anyway. Too many hooking and stitchery projects going at this point. (Not to mention that I am in dire need of a refresher course!) ~Robin~

Your designs and stitching are lovely! I had no idea about World Embroidery Day and didn't take one stitch. The closest I got to a needle was finishing sewing a QOV quilt top. Is there a list somewhere of needlework and sewing related days like this?
