~ October Begins ~

 Hello Friends and Folk!
a very happy October 1st to you all ~
🎃
the leaves are falling outside my sewing room window as I type...
as a hot breeze seems to be blowing away the last remnants of Summer.

... this is such a strange time of year ~
caught somewhere between Summer days
and Autumn nights!

before I begin my day today I though I would take you along with me on a short walk
around the farmyard and shop garden...

~ side by side ~

i love the tiny amount of purple in these glory's....

a pebbled pathway in a tired garden ~

although dying,
their beauty never fades in my eyes,...

red gazing ball and my little witch
grace the front of the Studio ~

morning glory's of every size and color are blooming now,
always reaching for the last few shafts of sunshine...

my beautiful Beauty Berries ~
a shoot was given to us from our dear friends Jane & Steve ❤

Roxy & her 'nephew' Big...enjoying a morning kiss ~

a cauldron of mums...
a gift from dear friend Nancy Z ♥

 old gourds in our soapstone icebox;

 the perfect pumpkin ~
a gift from my sweet friend Becky ❤

 best friends, Bobby & Roosty:
enjoying their breakfast...

the banana trees that Peter loves so much are huge this year!

I'll be stitching up a small Christmas Ornament today,
to be revealed later on,
for an upcoming
Make-It Take-It class to be announced ~

and I will leave you with a favorite quote ~

Listen!
the wind is rising,
and the air is wild with leaves.
We have had our summer evenings,
now for October eves.

I enjoyed walking through your garden, especially the picture of your red gazing ball & witch. The quote at the end was beautiful!

"I meant to do my work today
But a brown bird sang in the apple tree
And a butterfly flitted across the field
And the leaves were calling me. R. de Gallienne

I'm going to stitch this saying, one day!

Love your garden tours and I am just thrilled with the cooler temps and autumn air (although it was 87 degrees here yesterday). Can't wait to see what you'r stitching!!! Have a great week, Lori!

Where can I learn more about Uncounted Crosstitch. I saw you do that somewhere either on YouTube or your blog or Facebook LOL I can’t remember where & I can’t find it again of course. I am turning my artwork into embroidery patterns and Crosstitch patterns and punch needle patterns but I really love the idea of uncounted cross- stitch! I love your work. I wish I lived closer so I could get in in one of your classes and come to your shows❤️ My email is missmolliesart@gmail.com

Play Bazaar Any time your water pressure is above 80 PSI, you will hear extra water noise. This can be easily solved by the installation of a pressure-reducing valve, which Satta King can be done by most homeowners.
