~ A Hookin' we will go... ~

 Hello Friends & Folk!
and a happy October morning to you all ~
although it is hot today, and humid, and feels more like July than October...
my mind is wandering to the colder months ahead.

What better way to usher in the Holidays than a new design to hook?
I am now hooking on my "Holly Olde Santa"
using wonderful folky, warm and saturated hand dyed wools from Jan at

you can see that I've hooked my jolly guy's face,
beard and am now on to the brim of his hat...

the fabulous green *sparkle* wool
will be hooked for the background, lending a deep-woods effect that I cannot wait to start!

a little close-up of the gold sparkle:

I drew it out onto my linen yesterday,
and began hooking last night...

there will be a wool appliqued version
 of this same design too!

now I just need to finish some farmwife chores,
then can get back to it!!

Blessings from the Farm
