gotta love that Man o'mine!

look what he made for me now ~

a hand-carved loop lifter!

he watches me...he notices little things that he sees me perhaps struggling with 

and his creative wheels are always turning out something...

I try to keep my loops even in my rug hooking, although I am far from a perfectionist when it comes to that ,

I do like them neat & tidy.

Peter used some of his stock Cherry wood {from our farm} 

for the beautiful, and smooth handle~

a very organic & earthy needful thing indeed!

 

a waxed finish was all it needed 

to bring out the patina of the natural bark and beautiful grain

of this mellow-hued wood.

feels SO good in my hand!

I've already straightened out the loops and rows in some of my older rugs ~ HA!

what a difference this handy helper makes in the finished-look of my wonky little loops...

oh, the rug you see of the orange cat

is one I hooked in memory of our beloved Marmalade back in 2001

he was 17yrs old when he got his wings...
