Weather, Day 6 & Progress ~

YEP!
that's right ~
Old Man Winter & Mother Nature
 have blessed us yet again with another cold blast of Arctic Air
and served us up one FROZEN day!
{and I don't mean Disney folks!}

SO
Due to the 19 degree temps,
and the fact that our once mud-saddled driveway {read: 1/2 mile long dirt & gravel road}
has now turned into an ice-chute slippery enough for the 2025 Olympic Scandinavian Luge Team,
We Are Closed Today.
...and possibly tomorrow too.
depending on the Old Man & Mother's sense of humor…

it looks like temps are rising as we speak
and that will hopefully melt the 5+ inches we received from them yesterday, but…
that will once again turn our drive into another rut-riddled mud-slide.

it's pretty, definitely ~
to look at through our old wavy-glass farmhouse windows…

Pinocchio & Daisy waiting for breakfast in the sparkly snow….

see?
 the ice crystals are melting on the window….

snow snow go away!

Today marks the 6th day on the
Buttermilk Basin Spring Thyme Blog Hop

today's featured designer is
a very talented mother/daughter team that love to work in wools and thread ~
and what a beautiful blog they have!!

make sure you grab a cuppa and visit them for a while ~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
and here is my progress on my
Sepia Sampler…
i'm loving the 'quietness' of this design
and how soft-looking it is ~
alphabets are a favorite of mine to stitch, so I created one just for this project.
here are three of the 5 colors of threads stitched so you can see how they look together ~
DMC 611
DMC 640
&
DMC 3021
I'm using 1 strand of floss over two threads of the Week's 30ct. Parchment linen.
and my thread is waxed with pure beeswax.
I'm hoping to add much more to it today,
so keep an eye on my Facebook page
~ as I may pop in a few more progress snaps of this over there ~
well, keep warm & safe and dry my friends ~
have a beauty-FULL day!!!
Stopping by my friend to say hello...
It has been cold indeed! I am pulling Spring in...even if it is kicking and screaming.
I am finished hibernating and my blog is back too. Hope to see you there <3
I hope to show you and others how you have inspired many of us, to pick up needle and thread.. to embroider!
Bright Blessings~
Stacey
Looks great Lori! Those are some of my favorite colors to use together. They make a sampler look so old. Can't wait to see your progress. Stay warm and cozy in your farmhouse. Warm Hugs, Lori
