Simple Sunday Pleasures ~

Hoping you are all enjoying this most loverly weather
that we're having here in Virginia…

perfect weather it is ~
...if it would stay this way all year long I would be one happy farmwife!

we love to be outside here at the farm ~ in any weather,
but especially on a beautiful June morning.

We had our breakfast on the porch again…
{fresh hen eggs, sunny-side up of course!}
and bagels with fresh raspberry jam.

I was snapping some photos and found this little bumbler-bee sleeping on my flag:

good morning!

I love when the bees are still sleepy in the mornings ~
before they begin their miles of flights to gather pollen…

Zzzzz…..

Lazy was still groggy too…
but a little kibble and a short walk woke him up ~
We are in the process of looking for 'someone' to adopt to help Lazy here at the farm…
…to be his 'assistant' and friend.

our good boy

I cannot step outside without Iggy following my moves through every window or door ~
he is strictly an indoor cat and hates when I leave him even for a minute...

stalker.
... here he is in the dining room windowsill…

mom?

our gardens are doing beautifully after such a hard winter,
just look at these friendly little faces :)

H A P P Y

and I put one of my tiny terrariums
on my little red child's rocker on the porch…

... not sure what the plant is, baby's tears perhaps?

added a seashell collected on one of my trips cup home in Connecticut

I put some faux geraniums in this long basket on the porch wall near our rockers…
it's a nice quiet place to sit…

and I chose a couple of thread colors for another project
that I'm stitching for my upcoming shows ~

I am working still on MY sampler ~ but
in-between charting new Hallowe'en/Harvest designs for cross stitch
and a few new punch needle designs as well….

the fabric is my hand dyed Cupboard Cloth (osnaburg)
and I will freehand cross stitch on it for this project….

I chose browns & greys for this stitch ~

simple subdued colors

I should be finished with this one this evening,
so I'll share photos of it tomorrow…

my favorite scissors

Charlie will be here today for his Sunday supper ~

home made spaghetti sauce with fresh garden basil & oregano
tomato & mozzarella salad drizzled with herbed olive oil
fresh black olive bread
cranberry shortbread & chocolate ice cream

hoping you all enjoy a peaceful day my friends!

* Blessed be *
Lori

That iggy, such a cutie! I just love terrariums. I have since I was a kid, and now they seem to be making a come-back in the crafting/gardening world.
