Aprons & Snow ~

Good Morning!

here is that little punched whisk broom apron all punched and embellished ~

"Spring Cleaning" © Notforgotten Farm

I think it is sweet as can be ~
you can see I added a tiny apron to our busy little worker-girl there,
as well as a couple of minuscule pearl baby buttons on her dress front…

close up of punched & embellished finish

adding detail to my work keeps things from getting stale.
~ I like it.
I did this background in a pale blue/grey-ish green…it looks like a nice sunny day for her!

frayed cupboard-cloth (osnaburg) apron

I was only going to offer three new punched designs,
~ but my needle is smoking' so I may just offer a couple more!
….stay tuned!!

It is snowing here at the farm today ~
a beautiful light end-of-winter snowfall….
~ here's how it looks out my sewing room window:

peaceful and quiet

silhouettes

and here's what's happening at the backyard feeder ~
juncoes, mourning doves, titmice ~
cardinal-couples, wrens and sparrows….

fill 'er up!

come & get it!

Hoping you are enjoying your weather, whatever it is!

* Blessed be *

Well...your snow is pretty, but...really?
You in VA with snow and here in Ohio I had my first bluebird at the feeder! (Tho it's still cold) Made me smile! And the colors in your broom apron . . . reminds me of a bluebird as well! Love it!
Happy almost spring m'dear!

Dear Kathy F ~
I stain my finished work off of the frame, I use my own walnut/spice dye from our trees here at the farm and I use an old paintbrush :)

A heartwarming scene at the birdfeeder Lori.
Your sweet little miss is delightful all dressed in her crisp white apron.
Your designs speak from the heart and we are the fortunate ones that get to share them.
