Getting there ~

You're probably tired of seeing the bath,
... but here it is anyway ~
I am over-the-moon excited about it!

warm, bright & farmhouse-y !!!

Peter has worked So hard getting this together for us...
and I couldn't me happier at his results ~

we still have to put the drawers back in by the tub,
and no...those curtains will not be staying ~
they were just some burlap feedsack make-do ones that I had put up for privacy...

 the sink is awesome ~
Peter had the brainstorm to put this little drysink under our existing pedestal sink...
I L O V E it!

we purchased the drysink from Lee & Robin a couple of years ago
(wwwmillstonemercantile.blogspot.com)

the little antique hooked rug
was found here in the basement of the farmhouse
when we first moved in...
it was filthy and rolled into a ball.

I cleaned it up and now it is a gentle reminder of our homes past ~
and reflects my love of textile art...

Next will be the curtains,
then rehanging of some of the smaller decorative things we have chosen to freshen up this room...

tell me what you think of our progress thus far??

xoxoxox

* Blessed be *
 Lori

Love it! It looks so much cleaner which is a great thing for a bathroom. Your sink stand is beautiful - adds the rustic touch.
Cup of tea and bubble bath are just waiting for you.

Great new look! The bit of color on the dry sink pulls out the colors in the rug...and, if I member correctly, your fabric for the curtain will be the icing on the cake!
Well done Team Brechlin!

It's easy to see why you are so excited. It looks awesome! My husband did something similar in our bathroom, too. We love having the sink on top of an old piece. Brings the antique feeling into the bathroom.

I totally love the new fresh bath and have never tired of seeing updates. Your hubby did a great job with the faux back to hide the pipes. Or at least I'm guessing that is what he did because I see nothing showing the drain. Smart and talented man you married!

She (the bathroom) stands like a true soul. Remove all the makeup, go back to the bare bone basics and there is indeed much beauty hidden beneath...with a little help from Hubby of course.
It looks great especially that fantastic sink stand and the warmth of the old wood floors.
Enjoy!

So nice! It all works together so well. My home is done in lighter colors too and it is so soothing. I thought the burlap curtains went well with the color tones and added another texture element. Now I can wait to see what you put up!
