Playng with Dolls, and a Field Trip!

here is what kept me busy yesterday....
two clay-over-cloth dolls!

the skinny one on the left is "Arabella"
she is approx. 13" tall ~
I wanted to make her more pale than my usual dolls...
she has raw flax for hair & painted features...

The more 'plump' doll on the right is "Peg"
she is approx. 14" tall ~
She is a new design for me & I like her!
her hair is hand-dyed wool roving and she has a little needlepunched pocket
pinned to the front of her little shirt...
I'll tuck in some dried tansy~

Going on a field trip today with Robin (millstonemercantile)
we are headed into Roanoke (or thereabouts) to a shop named
Old Mill Primitives
I can't wait to see it, as Robin says it is a great shop full of all kinds of goode things!!
~and~
I'm hoping to meet up with my friend
Pam Gracia from Soft in the Head
(her blog is on my bloglist)
Pam & I have been online friends for years and finally got to meet
at last year's Ghoultide Gatherings show in MI...

so, despite the rainy weather,
I'll be having a fun day!!

Wishing you all warm spring showers to chase away the pollen!!!
Blessings from the Farm,
Lori
