{ Welcome little ones !! }

" For winter's rains and ruins are over,
and all the season of snows and sins;
days dividing lover and lover,
The light that loses, the night that wins;
time remembered is grief forgotten,
frosts are slain and flowers begotten,
And in green underwood and cover
Blossom by blossom the spring begins...."

can you see them?
there, next to the base of the ancient Ash
that once graced our front lawn...
...the little green spires of Spring,
bounding forth through ice & snow,
letting their fresh presence known to all who pass by...

(usually a chicken or two !!!)

although quite cold & windy today,
I will do as they;
and brave the weather just once more,
as I go on my way....
Thought I would share my tiny friends with all of you who are caught in that storm...
Hoping you have a sun-filled day of creative energy!!!
Blessed be!
Lori

Hi Lori! I just had to tell you that the bread recipe was a hit in my house. Mine is really sweet because I pour a sauce over it so I wanted to try this one. I came back from my sons basketball game and half the loaf was gone! My other son had eaten it and left me a pile of nuts on the counter :) I may have to make another loaf today! Wendy

Lori,

Thanks for sharing a shot of spring! Once again we are getting hit with snow and winds that are creating quite the drifts - it will take me a while to shovel out the driveway for hubby to get in!

Oh they are beautiful those first green sprouts! Updates would be welcome!

Happy Stitching!

Your photo is encouraging. I'm afraid my future little green sprouts are still hidden under inches of snow, but I'm hopeful they are just around the corner.

Isn't it wonderful to see these little harbingers of Spring? Let's hope the rumors of a March blizzard are just rumors!

Now that is VERY exciting...we got about 6 inches of snow today so I am extremely envious.

They are so cute. I can't seem to find any of our little ones yet, but I did see some buds on a tree.Yippie. I just can't wait, I am so tired of being cold.
