November Sunday!

....can you believe that Thanksgiving is this coming Thursday already?
~ where does the time go....

I have loved the Thanksgiving holiday since I was a child,
oh those fond memories of being in grammar school ~
making paper hats,
and cutting out handprint turkeys pasted-together from colorful construction papers!

those thoughts visit me each year...

along with happy memories of large dining room tables filled with laughter and food -

those perfect whipped-potatoes, and crispy-skinned, fat and juicy turkey!

So much to be thankful for,
each and every day:

 I finished mine off into a small, rag stuffed pillow...

I made the pillow first, from brown calico fabric

then filled it with clean rags.
I stitched the edges of the little cross stitch back, then stitched that onto the front of the fabric pillow...a little bit of a layered, old look that I love.
