Down a dirt road, past fields and deep woods ~
stands a humble little farmhouse wearing chippy white paint and a rusty tin roof...
it's here at our beloved Notforgotten Farm that you will find me...

chasing kittens, puttering in the gardens or talking to the tree.

I love seeing the past through the eye of a needle ~
...I collect old & odd things.
I pull wool & cotton through linen. I walk barefoot in my garden and throw my head back and cackle when I laugh...

I'm just a little farm-witch that loves where I am & who I'm with ~

~ Memorial Day Weekend ~

Good Morning Friends & Folk ~
the official weekend of Summer's beginning is here!

In remembrance of those who serve,
~ and those who have served to protect our Nation for centuries ~
we will celebrate them quietly and peacefully.

here are a few of my favorite antique postcards
that blend my love of country with my love of thread:
{all found on Pinterest, of course}

Our shop is Open Today ~
10:00 - 4:00

hoping you all enjoy the long weekend!

Blessings from the Farm

Thanks for commenting on the reason for Memorial Day. It seems people forget and think it is about barbeques, sales and the start of summer.

When I was VERY young and a Brownie, our troop would always march and the 'Memorial Day Parade' held in our beautiful town of Hawthorne N.Y.. Not only does it conjure up happy memories, but also somber ones for all those who gave up so much so we could have these pleasures. God Bless them ALL.

If you can't stand crowd then for sure get to event space NYC here early to start off your night. Our group did this just a few days ago and quaffed down some tasty beers and ciders before making our escape to further escapades in the city.
