~ A New Mat & First Monday Night! ~

~ Good Morning Friends & Folk ~

 I pulled a few loops on a new, small mat last night during the game ~
but I was so distracted that not much got finished....

this one is called
"Pull Weeds"
and the girls that have visited the Farm Shop lately have seen it.
It's only 11" x 14", but it lends itself to many different color planning options.
{{{this design will be available soon in our Etsy shop, in paper, pdf & on linen too}}}

my favorite spot ~

I've got all of the lettering hooked, and it reads
"Plant Seeds Pull Weeds" around the border...
the simple shapes of the vines/leaves/flowers can be hooked at varying heights,
with different textiles, using different techniques and with so many color choices ~
just like a real-life little garden of-sorts.

at the moment,
I've chosen these wools ~
but that is subject to change at the drop of a pin, so.....

and now that I see that cornflower blue on my screen ~
it's gotta go!

I'll share more progress on this tomorrow,
as I hope to finish it tonight...

and speaking of,
Tonight is "First Monday Night Open Hook/Stitch"
{knit, crochet, punch, appliqué.... needlework!}
and we will be in the Farm Shop this evening, from 5:00 - 9:00
if you'd like to come for a few hours of cheerful creativity, then join us!
We'll have finger sandwiches, drinks and sweets to much on while we create ~

Blessings from the Farm ~
 Lori

That's what I want to do!! Plant seeds and pull weeds!! Too early, methinks…no, me knows it's too early, lol! Cute rug pattern indeed, Lori. Wish we could do a virtual "First Monday." :)

How ironic. Just saw a sign yesterday that said the same thing.
Have fun tonight :)

I love reading your blog and looking at all your needlework,but I sure am missing all the counted cross stitch you used to put out. Are you planning on doing any new patterns soon?
