~ A Little Birdie ~

a tiny feathered-thing came to visit yesterday…

… he appeared in my sewing basket & wanted to learn to fly.

a tiny magpie with calico feathers & a red-breast

fragile rusty wire legs and small stitches brought him to life.

please hop on little friend…
we have much to do!

those bead-y little eyes watch me as I work…
nodding and approving & sometimes scolding as magpies often do...

no, please don't go ~
please stay with me a while longer?

I have yet to build a nest for you
a cozy little place where you can live forevermore ~

I'll weave it from raw flax & donkey-hair…
some sheep fluff and thread snippets
all in true magpie-fashion ~

Oh! I almost forgot to mention what this little bird has to say ~
fly on over to
to see what I have for you!
