Iggy
{our Spokes-cat}
is always helping out around here…
why just this morning he found a spool of thread under the sofa for me!
{but I wonder how it got there in the first place?}
Here is the
Oct/Nov/Dec 2015 Little Stitches Handwork Club kit model ~
"Sewing Basket ~ Scissors Keep"
{ scissors & basket is not included, sorry BUT scissors are in my Etsy shop!}
a neat little project to stitch up into a pillow ~
and a place for your scissors to rest…
the kit includes:
my hand dyed 30ct 'Ironstone' Linen
DMC Threads to complete project {full skeins}
Backing Fabric {reproduction Civil War era brown quilter's quality cotton}
and a length of White Silk Ribbon to tie your scissors with
oh, and of course the chart/graph & color photos ;)
it's pretty, I think…
the colors are more Holiday-ish, without it being in your face Christmas-y ~
so it can be used all year long.
here is a snap of the backing cotton fabric:
a nice deep brown w/ cream leaves & vines…
it's like a little present you can gift to yourself!

I've always heard that patience is an ACQUIRED virtue which seems more likely. At least it has been for me.
What a fun club piece you have created, Lori! Keeping fingers crossed (except while I'm stitching) for you and Peter and the outcome of the contest.

My goodness, Lori, I adore this club project! Can't wait to find it in my mailbox! Yes, I am still keeping my fingers crossed and good thoughts coming your way for a well deserved win!!!
Charming new creations, as always…the types of handmade lovelies that enhance the very process of creating itself! Don't we all just so enjoy our handwerk (I like spelling it that way) even more when the tools are beautiful, too? Iggy is a great help…you tell him I said so!
P.S. I'm not thinking about the contest…the dye is cast…but I so hope you win!!!!!!
Oh such a very cute project, and you know I love any kitty photo that pops up on my screen. Hello there Iggy!!
I have little fur-helpers, too! Love the pillow....
