~ Colors ~

Good Morning
~ Friends & Folk ~

last posting I was talking about choosing colors of threads for my punch needle work ~

I have narrowed it down to these Autumnal hues :

this color palette will be a new collection with Valdani soon!!!

aren't they luscious?

deep jewel-tones,
...variegated in the best primitive-manner ~

I'll share some previews
of my punching-in-progress using these colors
...on tomorrow's post ~

And here are the wools that I've chosen for the upcoming
Stitching in the Valley Retreat
October 9th ~ 11th 2015
in Middletown, Virginia

I'll be teaching a "Black Jack Pocket"
{wool applique & primitive embroidery}
….and will share the class model photos soon :)

the wools are from Rebecca Herb
 ~ and are just perfect for a little Hallow's Eve handwork!
dont'cha think?

and
check these out~
H U M O N G O U S
mushrooms growing in the donkey paddock!

...just how humongous you ask?
they dwarf Mr. Guinea Hen ~ that's how big!

Pinocchio & Daisy won't go near them {thankfully}
….but the slugs & snails and other 'slimies' love them!

{{ I love their ghostly/chalky white color and nubbly textures ~ }}

photo bomb!

Minew had to come see what I was doing of course….
such a pretty girl….such loverly green eyes…such a good Momma-kitty

hi Mimi!

…I noticed our younger Lavender plants are blooming…YAY!
the bees & butterflies love them ~
I love the pale color of their delicate buds.

~ I bring tiny bouquets of them into the house ~
Lavender makes me
happy.

our oregano is blooming as well…
this is a large bush of it growing in a little garden on the hill
in the front yard…

such a pretty color too!
especially set against the green background of it's leaves.

how does your garden grow?

Well I am off to create ~

it's humid again today,
~ so in the farmhouse I'll stay.

Hoping your day is a colorful one!

Love the colors you are using with Valdani! However, I have a small needlework shop and have tried to locate your spring collection through Valdani and was unable to do so. Can you tell me what it is named and, also, the autumn colors? Thanks!

Always enjoy your photos. It is hot and a little humid here in Arizona, so we spend our time indoors too.

Amazing mushrooms and at least they are one thing we don't mind the slugs and snails eating ;o). I just love Daisy & Pinocchio and Mimi is just adorable she reminds me so much of my little Peaches who is frolicking in the Summerlands.
I love the colours of the Valdani threads I will have to see if I can get them here in the UK, if not I will search them out when I next come to the US (my shopping list is growing lol).
