Open House Photos & Blog Hop Day #7

Howdy Friends & Folk !!

Oh what a wonderful open house we had! ~
the weather was a little on the soggy-side,
~ but the glow of the wood stove
...and smiles of our friends who came out to visit us
surely warmed our hearts :)

Here are a few photos of the shop dressed in her simple farmhouse Christmas finery…

Peter & Chris moved the wood stove from this wall, below,
to the front corner of the shop ~
...opening up tons of room for more WOOL ;)

Here is a shot of the 'pattern room' that holds all of the
patterns & models for my cross stitch and punch needle designs ~
below

this is a snap of the front counter, showing all of my newest design releases…
below

this table, which is usually reserved for us to hook, punch & stitch at
is laden with all kinds of Seasonal Goods ~
{you can see where the wood stove is on the right}
below

... this shot {below} shows my favorite HUGE white farmhouse cupboard
which now holds our line of Bliss Wool Cutters

a view of the side of the huge cupboard and other needful things ;)

ok, one more …

Here are our Valdani Threads ~
we're not carrying the entire line, but my color palette...
I'm working with them to complete my own color palette from Notforgotten Farm...
look for that to be available SOON!
{from us, and Valdani}
Yay!

here is the counter where we cash-out our guests and cut our fabrics (below)…
{where are Felicia & Joan? oh most likely at the refreshment table, taste-testing the goods…}

...the following snaps are of my sweet & talented friend Becky Carney's
most-wonderful Santa dolls ~

standing Santa with log cabin

tall Santa dressed in whites ~

 ~and~

small Santa nestled in a basket holding a Yule log

We had beautiful handmades from Theresa's Primitive Treasures,
candles and loverly wax-good from 1890 Gable House Goods…
wool appliqué and vintage-inspired goods from The Marin House {Miss Felicia}
and these: wonderful old-looking bells
...by Olde Rectory Antiques {Miss Joan}

here are the Shiny & New Bliss model A Wool Cutters from Fraser…
now available in the farm shop {if interested in purchasing, email me at not4got@aol.com}

and here is the little table in the pattern room
holding the refreshments for our guests ~
{I wonder if Miss Flea & Miss Joan approved since they are nowhere to be found…
sneaky little mice they are!}

and here is my dear friend, book author & rug hooker
Pat Cross
holding a rug she hooked of my Oh Glorious Day design
(with Pat's creative license of course)
this rug pattern, as well as MANY more of my designs, is available from Kris over at

Pat's rug is just beautiful ~
from her expert hooking to her over-the-top color planning to her fabulous & meticulous finishing.
can't say enough about it, and she is a peach to boot ;)

h e l l o!

well, friends
that's enough of the open house photos…

Do you have a shop cat? How do you keep the mice away out in the county?

The photos show you what her shop is like, but photos can't convey the atmosphere, aura, magical spell or whatever it is that you experience when you cross the threshold. Yep......put it on your BUCKET LIST!!!

Your shop is Devine!!!! Love the look and all that you have. I just live to far away. My sewing room has the same theme going. Vintage all the way and antiques. Karin E :)

Oh my, it's all just so beautiful. If I didn't love coaching gymnastics so much I would want a job in your shop. This is located right on your own property? How lucky to do what you love where you love!

WOW, A person could get happily lost in such a shop as this, so much to see and touch....I could spend a lot of pennies for sure. Very charming and delightful.
