everyone's in the mood ~

...for pumpkins!!!
(I know I am)

can't wait to see the plump, orange orbs decorating the porch and gardens this year...
hopefully we will have a good harvest, but not sure because we've needed so much more rain.

but, if I can't grow 'em, I can sew 'em!!

wool, calico, homespun...
cotton, linen & muslin ~ all types of pumpkins are being made in my little sewing room
(which right now, I'm referring to it as 'the patch')




I love how these look in my old bowls ~
set next to my huge trencher filled with last year's actual harvest.




of course, they still need their stems ~
and some will get sweet little stitched faces too.




Hmmmm,....
I wonder how many I would have to make to fill up my trencher?
