Well the answer to the riddle is a thimble. But the shape reminds me of a pocket -- the kind that womenfolk used to wear under their aprons.
Small pocket/purses for your dolls, I love them, sweet!!!
I was thinking it might be a little scissor pouch or thimble holder, but the riddle sounds more like a bee skep...
How fun!
Blessings, Patti
The answer is Thimble, that is so cool!!
A thimble pocket...

The only thing I can think of that would be filled with flesh (and not a thimble) is a bracelet.
Very sweet thimble purse! Anxious to see your finish:)
Extra button holder? Thimble holder also sounds good. Constanceoc@yahoo
a thimble..something? It seems big for a thimble...some sort of small pouch.
Hi, I`m thinking Bee skep, but not to sure. Francine.
Could they be used to make rings? Sher
At first I thought they could be for floss keeps, or a charm bracelet, but now after seeing the responses of others, I think a darling necklace with all those cute mini -pockets !!!! And I would Love to Wear that Everyday !!!! Pick Me ,pick me !!!

A sewing huswife. It will be a gorgeous treasure. I love how you repurpose vintage and antique items. I inherited a lot of antique lace and linens and I am inspired by your work. Some day I will be brave enough to attempt using them. Ruth

A ribbon based THIMBLE organizer/hanger?
A thimble is the answer to the riddle, but I think that your making a thimble keep!
I thought I posted earlier... came back to see the answer. :-) Well... whatever they are going to be - they are darling!
I think it's a thimble pouch worn around the neck.
Thimble, thimble keep, thimble pouch, thimble pocket, and still no correct answer! "All of these put together"... multiple thimble keeps on a pincushion?? LOL!!What's that called??
Could it be a chatelaine?
Well, it reminds me of those soft leather thimbles that fit over the finger. If you combine it with a button from the card on one side the button could be used as a hard center at which to push on the needle to pearce it through the item your sewing on. The flesh is the finger placed in the barrel opening and it is a live beause it is competing a task.
Okay, I'm tired and it is only a guess.
Also looks like the little vase bag that your Permelia Doll was holding on your selling sight.
mmmmmm I think may be it is a thumb/ finger protector that is made into a chatelaine for around the neck so you don't lose it ... the tape is for the chatelaine bit and the thread is used to sew it on and the buttons too :)
just a stab in the dark ...lol love mouse
who is also intrigued as to what the proper answer may be :)
It's a needle punched pocket for your tiny little bears to wear.
I was thinking so hard, but darn I sure could not come up with the answer. Thimble!? Sheesh. Good job confounding me. Karmen
