Welcome Little Stranger...

So very nice to meet you!
...we've been waiting a long time for you,

and finally you're here!
This is our FIRST-ever
PEACOCK baby!!!!
and he (she?) is HUGE!!!
( I will call him a 'he' until knowing otherwise)
yes, as small as he looks in my hubby's safe hands,
he is humongous compaired to our 'regular' babies...chickens, that is.
If his coloring is any clue now as to what it will be
when he is older,
he will be a
... WHITE PEACOCK!!!!
and an adult, white male peacock looks like
lace when he opens up his tail...
just beautiful.
so, there you have it...
our first...
we have 5 more eggs in the incubator,
so I'll keep you posted on the 'arrivals'...
on another note,
Robin & I wen to Roanoke, VA yesterday...
I had received a phone call from a woman that
said her Mom had passed away in December,
and that she was an avid rug hooker...this woman was honoring her Mom's last wish to donate ALL
of her rug hooking 'stuff '
to a teacher...and she picked
ME!!!!
I brought home
rubbermaid totes FULL of wool, loads of patterns on linen & burlap,
a frame and a bliss cutter!
(and I haven't even unpacked the car yet, that was just what we saw when we got there.
I will unpack today & tomorrow, and share pics of the goodies then...
I am truly blessed to have been chosen by this wonderful woman who loved her Mom so much...
Wishing everyone a Safe, Happy & FUN
Memorial Day...
please remember our heroes...

Blessings from the Farm,
Lori

You are indeed blessed to have been remembered so graciously, and of course to have a beautiful baby peacock too!

I love your beautiful home, and will look forward to seeing her all dressed anew. She is lovely just the way she is as well.
