All I can do is stand there and stare...
His beauty is mesmerizing to me.
His beauty is mesmerizing to me.
He is approx. 5 years young
(Peacocks live for a very long time)
and he is sweet & gentle...
We've yet to name him...
any suggestions?
I do know that I will be immortalizing him
in a sampler...
what better way to be remembered
...than to be stitched with needle & thread?
the morning is already showing signs of a gorgeous day~
after morning errands and some cleaning of the farmhouse,
you will find me in my shop-garden...
pulling 'volunteers' and talking sweetly to the herbs...
then I will begin stitching on a new sampler that I designed last week,
called:
"A Plump Wife"
new NP patterns WILL be posted too!
Hoping that you will enjoy your day,
revel in the beauty of Nature
...and every living thing....
Blessings from the Farm,
Lori

Oooohhhhh!!!! He is amazing, I LOVE peacocks, they are so elegant. Not sure about a name....I will ponder on that one and get back with ya!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your new baby Lori. As for a name, my first thought was *Baron* (he who possesses great power or influence). Why? Because he's a peacock:)
ReplyDeleteYour Plump Wife sounds intriguing, I'm always a huge fan of more plumpness:)
xoxo
Wow, he is absolutely beautiful...I love the color of his feathers. You're so lucky!! Can't wait to see your new patterns.
ReplyDeleteHe is absolutely gorgeous! I can't think of a name, but he certainly deserves something special.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see Plump Wife.
Pekoe
ReplyDeleteYou like tea yes? It's soothing like his colors yes?
Pekoe Peacock :-)
He is beautiful!

Oh he is awesome! How about naming him Isley (because the Isley Brothers sang Shake A Tail Feather LOL). Just kidding but everytime I see a peacock I think of that song! I can't wait to see A Plump Wife and your upcoming sampler with your new beauty!
ReplyDeleteNow we have another reason to visit you!!! He is gorgeous! I love the sounds peacocks make.
ReplyDeleteMy name suggestion is "Prince Plume".
He is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSteve's suggestion is "Rajah" because the throne of India was the "Peacock Throne".
ReplyDeleteOh wow, now that's a pet bird!! LOL I have to show my husband, he thinks I'm nuts with 4 little birds! He's beautiful, congratulations!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bird! I couldn't think of a name, so I called in my littlest man (he turned 6 yesterday). Now keep in mind that everything he names seems to end in "y" - so he chose "Spotty". Why? Because he has spots all over him mama!
ReplyDeleteYour new baby is beautiful. I would love to see a picture of his tail feathers up. They look so pretty when they are down and I would like to see them in all their glory. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHi is beautiful! When I was little, we had a neighbor that had peacocks. I just LOVED them & like you, have always been mesmerized with their beauty.
ReplyDeleteWow! He's a real beauty! If I can think of a good name, I'll let you know. Look forward to seeing the new sampler.
ReplyDeleteWowie! He really is a beauty! You have some wonderful suggestions for names... howabout "Roy" (short for royal)... Roy says "I'm proud, but still grounded"... ;-) I'm already thinking I'm going to love the "plump wife" sampler! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHe is beautiful . . enjoy your new pet.
ReplyDeleteHe is beautiful. Peacocks remind me of the birth/infancy of my first child - we lived one street over from a children's petting farm that had peacocks and it seemed I heard their call day and night. It was very comforting.
ReplyDeleteLove the title of your newest release!!
Now he's one awesome fella! What a great pet he will be.
ReplyDeleteWow, your peacock is beautiful. I can't wait to see how you memorialize him in stitchery. How about Picasso?
ReplyDeletehe is just so beautiful...how lucky you are!
ReplyDeleteHe is beautiful Lori, spoil him rotten...that's what they are for! Can't wait to see him... and everyone else! Talk later xxoo
ReplyDeleteP.S. Your name will be very fitting!
His Majesty....because I think he will rule the barnyard very soon. What a wonderful Easter gift - Peter is truly a "keeper"...Judy
ReplyDeleteHow cool. I never knew anyone that had a pet peacock. How about Picasso for a name? Have fun and enjoy your new friend.

What a beautiful bird! His colors are magnificent.
ReplyDeleteWow Lori!!! He's gorgeous and I know you'll love having him! What a great addition to your farm! I keep thinking Ruthin cause Ruthin Castle in Wales has Peacocks. Then again, Ruthin is kind of a girly name for a boy...anyway, he reminds me of jewels and gemstones!
ReplyDeleteWouah! So nice!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your peacock he is a beauty or maybe I should say handsome..Can't wait to see your new sampler..
ReplyDeleteI am soooooo impressed! Your talent is amazing!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the creative work.
