~ Needle and Thread ~

 Good Monday Morning ~
Friends & Folk!

yes, it is a good morning.
even for a Monday...
the sun is shining, the air is sweet and I have rested well.

Peter & I spent the day with Hannah yesterday ~
enjoying a nice dinner, cake, cards...
and a beautiful lily plant from Hannah & Tevin
~ that I will add to our farmhouse garden.

the rest of my time was spent daydreaming of tiny stitches and samplers....
I am in the midst of charting a whole bunch of new designs to send to my talented model stitchers.
as well as stitching on a work in progress...
recently I can truly attest that :

Stitching Mends a Broken Heart

so, while healing my heart
I again turn to inspiration from the past ~
some of my favorite samplers from my Pinterest Boards

aren't they beautiful?

 I love them all!

Have a beautiful Monday ~
spend it with those who love you most.
Create something ~
it doesn't have to be a masterpiece ~
just something that makes your heart Happy.

~ Just Sayin' ~

it has been a whirlwind of a week.
well, past two weeks matter-of-factly ~
and it surely has been an especially rough couple of days...

knowing Joan and 'her' Arthur has been a blessing to Peter & I
...such kind people, funny and loving ~
so true to themselves and each other...refreshingly honest and polite and...
oh I could go on & on.
I love them both dearly.

Heartfelt and Deep Gratitude for everyone's prayers,
comforting words and well-wishes for Arthur while he was fighting his last battle,
and more recently for the multitude of condolences and prayers of strength for Joan.

More of you have asked for Joan's address,
and again I must say if you'd like to send a card please send it to us here at the farm.
~ we make sure to give her {them} every. single. one.
Their living room mantel is full of beautiful get-well cards from recent weeks,
... and I'm sure she will be receiving many more cards in sympathy and love.
so please send to:

I have decided to take the weekend off.
my brain is tired from thinking. my eyes hurt from crying, my nose sore from blowing,
and of course...
my heart is broken in half.

I want to sleep and not dream,
and I would love to not wake up at 3am with crazy thoughts
racing through my mind.

so the Farm Shop will be
C L O S E D Saturday May 13th.

I must apologize for any delay in shipping orders out this past week.
I really tried to process all of them and get them all shipped.
I honestly, truthfully tried.
but my heart wouldn't let me work,
and I needed to be by my best forever friend's side.

.... thank you for understanding and not being angry with me.
I will begin fresh and new on Monday.
I promise.

~ Just a quick note ~

Hello Friends & Folk...

I will be adding the new cross stitch and punch needle designs to my Etsy shop today,

as well as our new clip-on Stitcher's tray for your armchair...

along with our new notecards too...

* * * * * * * * * * * * *
Joan has been at the hospital since Sunday with Arthur,
and they have requested Hospice to be a part of his final wishes...

I will be heading back up to the hospital again today to be with Joan,
while her beloved Arthur waits peacefully to get his wings....

this is their sweet little kitty-girl Mookie ~
who is missing them both terribly, especially 'her' Arthur...
and I know he misses her too.

continued prayers and thoughts of peace for both of them please ~
we are all exhausted and sad, but hanging in there.

~ Three Weeks Old Today ~

Good Morning
~ Friends & Folk ~

what a beautiful sunshine-y day here at the farm....

our roses this year are drop dead gorgeous
and I will have to take more pics of them for you soon!

All is well at our homeplace.
the barnyard has quieted down to a murmur
~ now that the puppies have arrived
and everything is peaceful.

while I was at the PSS Retreat & Merchant Mall this past weekend,
Peter and Chris cared for our gardens...
and we will be heading out to the local nursery
~ for our vegetable, flower and herb plants today!

and,
Speaking of 'nursery'...
you asked for puppy photos ~
:)
here is the sweet momma ~ "Pepper"
as skinny and full of milk as she could be!
we have adjusted her caloric intake so she can gain her much-needed weight,
... as well as nourish those fat babies of hers.

and here they are...
all 6 piglets out in the sun for the first time!

their eyes have begun to open,
so we don't want to damage their vision with the bright sun for too long,
... just long enough to clean their bed and freshen their bedding ~

can you smell them?
lol

4 little boys, 2 little girls ~
one brown is a boy, one brown is a girl!

Pepper is a doting mother,
and Peter is a doting...well ~
he's just a mess.

I really can't tell who loves the puppies more.
just look at those tiny-hineys!

and Miss Roxy is thee best 'auntie' there is...
always letting us know if the babies are crying too much.

and it's feeding time at the farm!
 {like every two hours!}
poor Pepper...

"MA! I'm HUNGRY!!!!"

today marks their 3 week birthday!
happy birthday little ones...
we love you lots.
