Clothespin Ditty Bag ~

Hi Folks!
Well I am feeling SO much better ~ thanks to all for the well-wishes :)
We did get to visit Hannah yesterday ~ I am so happy we did!
We went to Richmond to Cary Town, a district near where she lives...
...it was a beautiful day and we had a wonderful time with her and it was great seeing Skyler too!

It was some much-needed time and I'm happy we all got to spend some time together ~
...can't wait for her to come home for the Holidays.

I wanted to share my finish of the little
Clothespin Ditty Bag
that I've been stitching up, to hold Peters awesome clothespins:

plain & simple
after finishing the cross stitching, I simply folded back the linen to within 1/4" of the last stitch on all 4 sides of the project and stitched it to the front of a bag that I made using repro & early fabrics...

(beautiful hooked rug & needlepunch above by Homespunprims ~ Lori Rippey)

here is the patch on the back:

~ beautiful browns ~

here is a close up of the patched hole on the front of the bag:
I used ealry brown/cream homespun for that...

use it up ~ wear it out ~ make it do ~ or do without.
the pattern is now available in our ETSY shop ~
the pattern includes the finishing instructions for the finished bag too!

one of our black colonial racks in our kitchen holds the ditty bag ~

I am off to do some grocery shopping today ~
our cupboards are bare and I would like to bake some fresh rosemary bread tomorrow...

Come by again soon &
* Blessed be *

Best Laid Plans ~

Move over Iggy ~
Mom's not feeling well......

I have the stomach bug.
it started yesterday and continues today...

Peter & I have been planning an overnight visit to be with Hannah this weekend,
...and now we just can't go.
I don't feel good and I'm crying.
one word sums it up:
blech...

The Shop will not be open this weekend,
as I will be curled up on the couch
and more likely up and down the stairs to the 'powder' room in between.

so move it over Ig....
make some room for me ~

even though I'm not feeling 100%
I can't just 'sit there'...
...so between naps & visits upstairs,
I stitched up a little something for the clothespins that Peter made me:

once finished,
this will be stitched onto a pouch and used to hold my clothespins ~

hoping you're all feeling ok ~
& Happy November to you!

* Blessed be *

Tis' a rainy day here at the farm...
I have to run errands in town today but would much rather spend my time stitching.
