Hello Friends & Folk!

 and happy Thursday to us all ~

I have been playing in my wools again, and whipped up this little project....

it's been a while since I've done any applique ~

but mind you, my applique is super primitive!

I don't mind a few frayed wool edges,
and hand sewing the binding on is as wonky as it gets!
{none of my edges ever pretended to be straight LOL}

Never have I been good at doing the blanket stitch,
so I just whip stitch my wool pieces to my foundation cloth,
which in this case is linen that I stained once my project was complete....

 

SO, for all you extreme primitive-loving,
wonky wool applique-ers out there,

I'll be holding a class to make this

Wooly Stars & Pennies table mat on

Saturday, July 22nd from 10:00 - 4:00

 

Class fee is $38.00
and includes all the wools, linen and backing fabric you need
to make one for your very own patriotic, Americana-loving heart!

 the finished size is (approx.) 9" x 11" but yours may end up being  a tad bigger or smaller

due to the handworked nature of this project.

You can choose to stain or not to stain (that is the question lol)

once you're finished with yours,
and I'll show you how to make yours really, super prim if you so choose that look.
