 Hello Friends & Folk ~

a short post to say that the Shop & Studio at Notforgotten Farm
will be CLOSED Friday May 31 & Saturday June 1st ~

...after my wonderful mini-stay at the local ER and a bout of Diverticulitis...
I am feeling a bit:

I'll be resting, drinking my fluids, taking my meds and stitching between naps ~
I will be posting on my FB page and on my IG feed as I feel up to it.

~ Beeskep Class ~

Good Morning Friends & Folk ~
Happy Sunday, Happy Memorial Day Weekend to you all...

Kindly remember what this holiday is all about,
by remembering our past, present and future heroes & heroines ~

On Friday,
my sweet friend Janice taught us how to make Beeskeps!
it was not a 'scheduled' class, just something that kinda-sorta popped up and am I glad it did :)

everyone brought their own materials to work with,
sisal, rope, hemp & seagrass...

Janice had us bring pots, bowls & pans to use as base/forms for our beeskeps ~
the hot glue was everywhere!
lol

some of us made big skeps...

some medium-ish sized,

~ and some smaller ones too.

we took a break to eat {of course}
and Nancy B brought her famous Lavender Brownies...
one of us in particular thoroughly enjoys every bite of her brownie!

I love my tribe ~ my girlfriends are thee best!

Thank you dear Janice for taking the time to show us how to make these ~
we all enjoyed your teaching skills and the time you took to help each one of us.

here are some of our finished skeps:
I made teeny tiny little ones;

such Summer-time fun at the Farm!

enjoy the rest of the long weekend my friends ~

Good Morning Friends & Folk ~
Happy Monday to you all....

a slight bit cooler this morning, temps yesterday were too hot for me.
I am an Autumn girl and don't much like the hot weather ~ altho we do live in the South
and it is known to be hot here in late Spring thru early Autumn!

while the temps were still cool-enough for me to enjoy being outdoors,
I took my cup of tea and my camera out to the front porch and patio...

just some snaps of our surroundings here at the Farm for you to enjoy:

my happy place

~ Woolen Lavender Class Photos ~

Good Morning Friends & Folk!
and a very happy sunny & bright Sunday to you all ~

Yesterday was our Woolen Lavender Class
~ here in the Studio at Notforgotten Farm...

we only had one cancellation { missed you Christina!}
... but it was a fun filled day for sure ~

Here is "Table #1" showing off their smiles and projects-in-progress:
clockwise from bottom left: Janice, Joan Sharon G., Shari, Nancy B. & Anita

and here is "Table #2"
clockwise from bottom left: Wanda, Amy,  Lynn, Sharon S. & Pat

...with glue guns heated up and at-the-ready,
everyone dived right in to the making of their Woolen Lavender spires ~

sweet friend Amy brought her adorable Mom, Lynn
{ although she 'says' she's not a 'crafty' person ~ }
she could have fooled us all with the beautiful and unique Lavender she created!

with lots of snipping, twisting and turning ~
each student worked on their Lavender spires...

I am Blessed to have so many friends that I love dearly
and who love to laugh and create as much as I do ~

busy little honey-bees they are!

All of our hard work and hearty laughter made for even heartier appetites...
Peter made us all delish Chicken Salad Sammies and the girls brought
along fruit & dip, cheese/crackers, veggies with dip, deviled eggs...

and of course we had Sweet Treats too:
Joan made us a refreshing Ambrosia
and Nancy B. baked us Rose Geranium  Shortcakes!

Those who visit us here on a regular basis,
will get to know my hubby's sense of humor...
he loves these Ladies just as much as I do ~ and is always willing to lend advice
{whether we want or ask for it lol} or a helping hand.

He told the girls there will be 'Judging' of their work after class...
and headed to Miss Janice {who is our newest Tribe-member} ~
Peter loves to chide these girls, and they sure know how to handle him right back!

I think the photos below show just how
Janice is taking everything Peter is saying into 'consideration'
... before letting him know HER thoughts! LOL

and here are a few snaps of the finished class projects:

Didn't they do a great job?

I So enjoyed this class...
as I enjoy every class and gathering together of my friends ~

Love you muchly, all of you!
