~ Good Morning Friends & Folk ~
and happy Wednesday to you all!
it's been a tad warmer these past few days,
dear Mother Nature is reminding us that Summertime is not quite over yet…
and the weather-folks say the humidity will make a comeback this week as well.
.ugh.
… but, in this little farm witch's mind ~
∞∞∞ it is perpetually Autumn ∞∞∞
and what better way to do my needlework than by candlelight in the evenings
~ while watching two of my all-time favorite movies.
yesterday was still nice enough for me {read: less-humid}
to punch on the patio in the afternoon…
~ with some sweet tea and classical music playing in the background.
I love sitting there,
listening to my chickens clucking and my kittens mewing
while the rhythm of my punching soothes my soul & my mind can wander to places in my memory...
as Peter is working on our farmhouse,
I get to enjoy a little Summer/Autumn-ish decorating ~
I put a bunch of faux sprigs of bittersweet and chinese lanterns in my rusty planter, that already has basil, lantana & mums growing in it…had to leave the flags from Labor Day out too ;)
{{can you see jack peeking out from my urn?}}
I'm working on punching these angel wings for another finished item for the upcoming show ~
loving my Valdani thread colors in this one :)
Wishing you all a day filled with peace & creativity, my Friends!
~ Blessings from the Farm ~

Hi, Lori! My son just purchased Practical Magic for me. So funny…I can watch that movie and Hocus Pocus and The Witches over and over and never tire of them…drives my DH crazy, lol! Have a great day. Headed to Ohio for a week…will check in then!
You live in the most perfect setting, and your thread box is divine!
I love those movies, too! As it happens, I find myself with a free afternoon today. Hmmm....
Hi Lori - Yes, it's getting time to haul out "Practical Magic" and make my husband watch it with me, yet again. I have the sound track, too, which is destined to end up in the car again this year...just me and my pumpkin spice coffee, tooling around doing my errands, singing "Put the Lime in the Coconut" at the top of my lungs. Autumn...gotta love it!
Lori,,, nice you can be outside again,, still muggy here the last few days,, yuccy,,, hope it clears soon,,, love fall decorating,,,,
Take care,,,,
Lori, I am in love with your vintage thread box. What a jewell it is! We have had some drier days down here in Florida which gives us a teeny reminder that Fall will eventually arrive. However, the humidity is scheduled to return this weekend so the change was just a tease. Hehehe, I am also someone who perpetually has Fall on the brain! It has always been my favorite of all the seasons and Halloween is my all time favorite holiday! I love it's simplicity, ease, and fun for everyone who wishes to participate. Looking forward to decking out my porch for my annual Trick or Treaters who are so much fun to hand candy out to!
Lori I have looked for that new flag of yours on lowes and cannot find . Do you knife the name of it?
Your new old farm house is going to be beautiful! Can not wait to see it done. Love your witch!
Enjoy your evening

Hope you are feeling better by now, I love your box, how great that is!
Your colors are always wonderful
Lori
Your thread box is so cute. I love to sit outside and sew also. The birds singing and the breeze blowing, and watching butterflies landing on the butterfly bushes.
Just lovely threads...
