~ Saturday Morning ~

Good Morning Friends & Folk!

Our Little Farm Shop is CLOSED today,
and we've decided to keep it closed throughout August ~
We will reopen with our annual

since these storms have been visiting us almost daily,
our dirt road {driveway} is a mess ~
our power goes out & our phone lines have been down since last wednesday.
and NOW Facebook is giving me fits so I can't even sign on to that
to retrieve any messages from there!

the best way to contact me right now is via my email:
and if I don't get back to you right away, please know I am not ignoring you ~
it could simply mean that I am backed up with responding, or that the power is off once again.

In the meantime, having less 'technology' to keep me busy,
I am getting more needlework projects finished for upcoming shows & such…

The plentiful rains have been a boon to our sunflowers ~
{{which are seemingly finding their way into my needlework as of late}}
;)

~ I have been having migraines lately too.
not sure why, but hormonal & environmental factors are the most likely culprits.
keeping things quiet & dark are the best way for me to combat them when they visit.
*ugh*

Hoping you all have a beautiful weekend ~
storms or no storms!

~ Blessings from the Farm ~

You know, I've been having headaches, too…not migraines…but the kind that just make you feel sick. Must be the pollen here…it's getting close to dog weed time! Your little sunflower pouch is just beautiful, and the black ribbon handle is perfect for it. Perhaps Nature knows you need to unplug and slow down a bit…and so she is accommodating! Enjoy the respite. You deserve it!

Lori, hope you feel better soon but in the meantime be kind to yourself and enjoy some quiet time. The sunflowers look amazing and the pouch is just to sweet especially with the ribbon handle.

As a migraine sufferer I can relate to the pain. Love those sunflowers....and your recent project. Hopefully all the tech stuff will soon be sorted out.

Hi Lori, wishing you & Peter a calm & restful Sunday (if that's even possible) with all the work orders you guys have (as I well know). Love your sweet 1863 Sunflower pouch & your bee-U-tious GLoRiOUs Sunflowers! Still no time in my insanely busy life to tend to a garden. But I used to have a beautiful garden years back & all varieties of sunflowers...they DO bring a smile & SuNShInE to one's life! I have suffered from migraines my whole life & this extreme heat & barometric weather changes with the heavy air & humidity messes with the sinus passages & is one major cause of migraines for many sufferers. The only salvation for me & saving Grace has been Imitrex (or the generic) & I've had to take 50-100 mg (pill form) at the 1st onset ...when they've been one of the real doozy ones...I've had to do my Sub-Q injections in the thigh & believe me...the migraine is WORSE than the injection! Be well my friend, you must take care of yourself (easier said than done) for "us" type-A's, manic-artistic-types! Woolly Hugs, D
