So ~ Here's my Challenge:

Good Saturday Morning
 Friends & Folk!

I actually pulled some LOOPS on my
Out Of Hand Rug Hooker's Challenge Rug
yesterday while in the farm shop!
yay!
that makes me so happy ~

not many loops, but some at least…

I love my little red squirrel and acorns
{hooked from that same awesome wool from Mary Henck that I told you about in a previous posting}
and now I'm working on his background ~

I want this rug to be scrappy & old-looking of course.
So I'm using 99% as-is wools with just a hint of hand dyads thrown in for good measure.

...these are the coordinating black wools I'm using at the moment,
both from The Wool Studio ~ Rebecca Erb

and here is my challenge to myself:
the wools.
these wools.
ALL of these wools.

those uglies & not-so-pretties…the last wools we would pick to be in our rug.
THOSE are the wools I want to hook with!
WHY would I use those colors you may be thinking out loud or to-yourself?
because I'm that kind of girl. and because I can.
and because in my mind's eye ~ I think it will come out beautifully.

we'll soon see…..

I'll be happy to just finish this ~
and am even more happy that my rug isn't going to be judged
amongst those that are included in the Challenge!
OY! there are some beauts in the running!!

Our Group's Rug Challenge deadline is January 3rd 2016 {seriously around the corner!}
and the finishes are rolling in daily…
and
I cannot wait to share with the Rug Hooking World
all of these inspirational, colorful & heartfelt rugs made by the sweet hands of fellow hookers!

If you are a rug hooker, and are not yet a member of our Facebook Group:
the Out Of Hand Rug Hookers
send me an invite request & I'll be happy to add you…
this isn't an invite to join along on the CHALLENGE though,
that is CLOSED to any new members.

Lori, there's nothing "squirrely" about using those colors…your mind's eye has perfect vision! How do you do it so fast, though!!? Have a marvelous day!

This design just might make me take up hooking just like my grandmother did. Looking good

Peace for all,
