How AWFUL??

THIS awful:

the high winds & driving rains toppled over our glass table on the patio ~ 

smashing it to bits & scaring all of our farm friends…

looks like ice, doesn't it? thank the stars for safety glass…

Hook A Long & Rug Challenge ~

I've got my motifs all drawn onto my linen, and am just hooking along for fun with everyone else…

PLEASE remember that the Challenge Group is now CLOSED 

and we are not accepting new participants at this time ~ 

{We are always accepting new members for our 'mother' group, though}

… but before you throw tomatoes at me for not getting in in time, 

please know we will have another Hook A Long & Challenge 

soon after the 1st of the New Year….

here's my progress…

wools chosen and cut into strips ~

love this basket I've had for at least 100 years…

it's an old sturdy potato-basket ~ 

… someone long-ago carved the initials 'W I L' into the oak handle

and here's a finished wooly-friend ~ a little red squirrel!

the acorns were hooked using a beautiful boucle wool that was hand dyed by Mary Henck

{Mary's Wool Garden} isn't it beautiful?

 Today also is a celebration for Peter & I ~

27 years ago we said 'I Do'…

my stars we look like we're 12 yrs old don't we? 

{well, except that  Peter has a moustache!}

 ha!!

Happy Anniversary Peter  ~ 

We've been through so much together and it's been one crazy ride!

I have always been able to count on you to be right there with me through everything.

I'm lucky to have you as a husband & partner, and Hannah is blessed to call you Dad.

Thank you for loving us as fiercely as you do.
