a quiet Sunday morning for us…

except for the crows of the roosters, braying of the hungry donkey's 

and the constant chattering of our beloved parrot, Peaches…

it was a quiet morning when I woke!

after our friends were all fed and loved on, 

I set about pulling a few loops before farmwife chores called again.

clean clothes must be worn, you know. 

and breakfast dishes do not wash themselves no matter how hard I try to coax them otherwise.

here is a bowlful of my most favorite hooks ~

my frame, wools and good lighting are all I need ~

well, except for my hook of course, and inspiration :)

I switch out working with different hooks to help my hands from getting too stressed ~

right now I'm working with the one below, 

~ that Peter made for me from a naturally-shed deer antler 

...that Lazy found in the woods a few years back while on a walk with Peter & Buddy.

{we miss you so, Buddy & Lazy.}

I wanted a more neutral-look to this rug

Yesterday,

Miss Nancy came for a visit to the shop 

and brought a wonderful set of wool appliqué blocks she's been working on…

the patterns are from 

Primitive Gatherings 

and will be complied together to make this stunning finish:

Miss Nancy was worried 

about the addition of a special 'fiber' on her work that might show in the photos I took…

{{she is owned by a couple of fun-loving corgis who like to play in her wools,

 and as such have left behind a few of their own hairs for good-measure}}

do not be embarrassed friend Nancy, 

for we too have been blessed by such gracious fur-friends 

who share their fibers with us too :) ~

...those who love animals will certainly understand and love you the more for it!

Well, I hear the old washer humming away…

time to hang the week's laundry on the line before it sprinkles again.
