~ Happy Sunday Friends & Folk ~
I headed out early this morning to go shopping ~
in my GARDEN!
It's time to pick the ripe tomatoes…
is it just me,
or do any of you LOVE the fresh smell of tomato leaves too?
low-acid yellow hybrid Beefsteak tomatoes |
'Blue-boy' grape tomatoes |
~ and ~
beautiful Roma plum tomatoes |
~ also ~
huge green peppers!
~ into my big pot they go…
to be stirred with my trusty-old wooden spoon ~
Oh my Stars the farmhouse smells heavenly!!
and don't worry,
although I am cooking this homemade, garden-fresh sauce with all of the seeds for my family ~
I purchased a really good double-strainer for MY sauce!
{{{{ no seeds for me }}}}
tomatoes, garlic, fresh onions, and fresh cilantro ~ homegrown basil & oregano too :) |
here is Willie Nelson ~ standing in front of the herb garden…
{{{ he likes to drink rainwater from the small white iron birdbath on our patio }}}
caught ya Willie! |
While the pot bubbles today I will be punching….
I am almost finished with this:
I had room around the project
so I drew up a few smaller designs for necklaces/pins ~
"use it up
wear it out
make it do
or do without"
~ such wise words to live by in such a disposable world we live in.
...do you not LOVE the colors of the Valdani pearl cottons in there?
such dimension and detail they lend to my work ~
** my 'Autumn from Notforgotten Farm' Valdani designer collection
for these upcoming patterns is available in my Etsy shop ~
hey there little green-guy! ~ … he still needs his eyeballs ;) |
I hope to be releasing the new Hallowe'en/Harvest designs this coming week ~
I am punching one more design for a total of three new cross stitch designs
& three new punch needle designs for you ~
oh, almost forgot! we have two new thread wonders/floss holders coming too!
a Witch's Boot and a Tombstone!
I am also hoping to finish & offer another sliding needle box on Ebay this evening ~
We are so humbled at the response we've been getting for them !!!!
~ THANK YOU KINDLY ~

Hoping you all have a peaceful & simple Sunday my friends!

yes, nothing better than picking tomatoes and your arms coming out smelling so good :) I actually just pulled ALL my plants up today, it has been extremely hot and not enough water did not make for a good crop this year. But, oh well there is always next year.
Have a great Sunday!
Sounds like you are feeling well! What beautiful varieties of tomatoes. We only have two - deer eaten and diseased.
