Miss Joan & I had a loverly day yesterday ~
spent with the even more loverly ladies of the
~ Virginia Guild of Needlewomen ~
...a small but charming group of gals
who gather together regularly to share what they love.
we began by sharing their progress on the design I had made for them ~
some chose to finish at the class, some not.
:)
we talked {well, I know I did!}
laughed {hopefully I didn't make you all crazy!}
and shared....
how wonderful it is when women gather in friendship
and share their love of needlework!!!
...some members brought along show & tell,
beautifully stitched & finished of course ~
after class, it was time for a little shopping ~
I brought a small trunk show along with me for them to have fun with :)
I really enjoyed the ladies of this guild ~
and I'm looking forward to getting to know them all a little better in the future!
...my heartfelt Thanks to the members of the Virginia Guild of Needlewomen!
thank you for putting up with me ;)

I truly believe that quilting bees, hook ins s and needlework groups is what kept our grandmothers sane. Playing in the dirt in the summer and working with our hands in the winter. What better therapy!
Lucky guild members! It looks like it was a really good day.
Oh what fun! Wish I lived close I sure would love to be a part of that group. Lecia
Lori.. That looks like sooo much fun! Small trunk show, you say? I would LoVe to be where your trunk show is! I saw some interesting things there that would have " just jumped in my basket" :) my bucket list is one day to make it to your sweet shop and enjoy a stitch day with you.
Have a great weekend Lori.
Hugs Marg.

You know Lori, there is no better therapy than to spend a day with needle workers of all kinds. I looked at these pictures and so wished I was there. However, I live in Central PA. Loved the. New heading on you blog. Barb
