Tuesday Morning ~

The snowflakes flew yesterday ~
leaving us here in our little part of Virginia with almost 4 inches…

While Mother Nature did her thing,
I did mine here in the farmhouse.

I pulled my needfuls for the next
Little Stitches Handwork Club kit!!

30ct Old Farmhouse Linen from Notforgotten Farm,
DMC threads in Spring-like colors and a scrap of Cupboard cloth (my hand dyed osnaburg)

~ I'll start stitching it today ~

...can't wait to share this finish with LSHC members!

After I gathered my things for that project,
I got to work making a few finished items to take along with me to the
Virginia Rug Fest on April 5th…

along with offering my patterns at the show, I like to bring some finished items for the attendees ~
these little mice are not completed yet ~ but when they are they will accompany me there:

Old hogscrapers, velvet tomatoes and tiny linen mice with wool ears & tails

the one on the left seems to be smiling at us, no? ha!

I still need to attach the wool leaves,
...some vines, a few pins and my tags…

he looks sleepy sitting atop his velvet tomato

 I am in a Spring-Garden mood lately ~
everything I want to stitch, hook or punch is turning out to be influenced by our gardens here ~
{{expect to see a lot of red tomatoes, strawberries & flowers in my next batch of designs :) }}

I have a small collection of strawberry-themed sewing needfuls here in my sewing room that
always make me smile:

wool strawberry atop a pinkeep drum

tiny emory swings from a puzzle ball pincushion

early velvet emory

the emory below has almost no velvet left on it…

perfectly simple.

and this beaded beauty (below) is my favorite ~
I believe it is Native American,
and it looks wonderful keeping company
in my little cupboard next to my Native American pine needle basket
...with plump tomato pincushion in it ~

Lori, lOVE THOSE LITTLE GRAY MOUSIES. I am sewing a pin-keep today with a wee chick atop, so your photos inspire me. Sewing collectables are a favorite of mine and you've got some lovelies here. Now, I am looking on your site to find out how to order the Hook n punch. Can you send me in the right direction?

You do not disappoint my friend. While catching up with your week, I am happily amused with the goings on at the farm. I too have mices in stages of completeness, mices are such fuzzy silly little creatures.
Enjoy a merry weekend.
Hugs-
Heidi
