Feeling Scrappy ~

Good Morning Friends & Folk ~
still playing with my scraps of fabric...
but
I think I'm beginning to get the hang of this 'quilting' thing...

yesterday I cut 100 tiny 2" x 2" squares of reproduction fabrics.
...then I cut them all in half.

pretty scraps
then I threw all of those tiny triangles into an old wooden bowl and mixed them up a bit.
reching into the bowl, not paying much attention to what I picked, I chose two pieces and handstitched them together.
i just like the way they look iin my bowl with my old scissors and thread waxer ~

even the red & white quilt that this bowl is on is more inspiration ~

who could resist playing with cozy fabrics or sleeping 'neath a handstitched quilt?

so pretty

even Iggy appreciates good handwork ~
sleep tight Mr. Katt...

ZZZZZzzzzzzzzz

I'll share my progress with you tomorrow... I think you'll like what I'm doing :)

Love the fabrics and I am sure whatever you end up with is sure to be very pretty. I also like the display in the bowl too.

Thats one of the best ways to quilt in my book..I love the feel of the process of cutting sewing the old way. I hate the new assembly line instructions hey confuse me to no end. :) Grogeous work.

I would have my fabric all ready to stitch, but I am visiting my daughter in Ky. I did buy yarn yesterday...my hands do not remain idle for long. Have a blast! Lee

Hi Lori,
Love what you've done so far with your quilt. I'm anxious to see it finished. That's a whole lot of work sewing triangles together by hand. I think you'll be a great quilter! Love all the pics. you take of Iggy--he's beautiful.
