WELL......
here he is...
our little boy Iggy ~
(so sorry for the 'pink' overload, Hannah loves Hello Kitty stuff!)
he was sitting quietly in his cage...
quietly, that is...
until he saw her.
until he saw her.
in a flash he was hanging on the side of his cage,
...little furry arm reaching out to my little girl,
begging her to love him ~

oh boy.
...you should have seen the look on her face...

((she may be 16, but when she was cuddling that boy-kitten,
she looked like she was two again...))

this little guy worked SO hard at being loveable
that we just knew he would love us forever...
(I like to think that our beloved Sam had a ...um...paw in sending him our way)

he is approx. 6 weeks old,
is a buff & white long-haired, ring-tailed monkey that
now runs amok through our little farmhouse,
purring so loudly I'll bet you could hear it from where you are

of course,

and naturally, Suzy hasn't spoken to me in days.

how did he get his name you ask?
well, the kind folks at the center had named him
"Pig Pen" but we couldn't call this little ball of fluff that ~
so Hannah shortened it to
"Iggy"

so, there he is...
not a replacement of our beloved Sam,
but another little life saved....

Hey Lori!
I did the exact same thing last week.....wicked cool!!!! Your kitty is precious and I love his coloring.
I went to the local adoption shelter and you can see a pic of our "Flossie Mae" I call her, 8 weeks. She did the same thing with her eyes and arms and she is the sweetest addition. Our one cat Thomas, has pouted every since but I hope he gets over it soon. She will be an outside kitty. We live out in the country too and cats are great to have outside!!!
Congrats to Iggie!

He is toooo cute, I know Hannah will be a good mother...maybe he should meet Eli!!!??
Yea, Lori and Hannah!! First, I am so sorry about losing Sam - sounds like he had a wonderful life with you and you all, a wonderful life with him!!! And I am so proud of both of you for rescuing Iggy!! He is darling and I know he will bring you as much love and fun as Sam brought you!! And what a wonderful place for Sam to rest and keep an eye on Hannah!! Thank you both!! Kris
Iggy is so precious. We have two cats and two dogs that we rescued and the male dog is also an Iggy. My daughter's boyfriend at the time named him after Iggy Pop - the 60's rock star.
He is a great pet and I know that your Iggy will be also. As the mother of two teenaged girls I know how important it is to have a support group for them and their pets play a huge role in that.
Enjoy.
He is so cute and sweet, kittens always liven things up around the house. Mine are all over 3 and they still haven't quieted down and doubt they will;)

Adorable! I love the name too.
Congratulations on your new baby kitty! He's beautiful.
What a sweet little boy!
Aw! So cute!
Oh so precious. He is colored similar to my buff and white boy, Buddy. He is still a pistol at 2 yr. old! But so sweet when he sleeps!
Love the new kitty.... Sam but be sooooo happy for you. :0)
I'm glad you've formally introduced Iggy to Blogland - what a little cutie pie!! That was a great picture you had of Hannah and him on your sidebar....Wishing you many years of happiness together....And I'm sure Sam did have a "paw" in it....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
