at Christmastime,
my heart is tugged in many different decorating directions....

I love my primitive 'stuff'...
but
I also love my Old Fashioned,
1940's ~ 1960's
ornaments and decorations too...

so I have been blending the years for my own look...
sits an antique wooden trencher,
it's patina is worn smooth from years of use...
in contrast, I placed a small silver tinsel-tree in it
and draped a garland of pink glass beads on the tree.
then I tucked in faux greens, berries and white twinkle-lights...
and lastly,
I found an old photo of a sweet old farmhouse in beautiful sepia-tones,
with three farmwives standing outside of their garden gate...

...not too bad, huh?

I can get the best of both worlds and love all of it!!
Hoping you all are enjoying your own way of celebrating
with the things you love!

I think it all looks beautiful together Lori. Why not enjoy all of your collections together if it's what makes your heart happy!
I love everything at Christmas even the "tacky" things my Mom always put around...just doesn't seem like Christmas without the fake mistletoe ball and the old toothpaste elves with their big fat grins and pointy ears. I do the same - mix it all up - and it is beautiful - just like yours!!!
What a beautiful atmosphere Lori!
