A Helping Hand...

this is my little friend...
I have been caring for him now for almost 4 days...
he is so tiny, and as you can tell by his feet in the picture, he is crippled.
...born that way.
came to us in an eggshell too small for his little (big) body
... and when he was hatching he couldn't get out in time...
so I helped him along, like I helped the others that needed it too.

He will never walk, run or scratch at the dirt.
he may not even make it at all....
BUT
that isn't stopping him from having a ferocious appetite,
and a very strong will to live...
he hops like a little frog, and is strengthening his spindly left leg by doing so ~
...his right leg is completely backwards and of no good use to him,
but i don't hink he minds at all.

what he does mind, is if I'm not holding him,
helping him to eat & drink
and helping him balance on that one little 'good' leg...
if he's without me for a minute he starts peeping at the top of his little lungs!

and I am always happy to oblige,
....lending a helping hand to a
~ Friend~

Blessings from the Farm,
 Lori

All God's creatures, big & small. Poor little fella, but he doesn't know any thing different so maybe he will be ok.

...Bless your heart Lori! I once had a baby chick that had a crooked beak and she was the sweetest thing ever. She used to follow me all around the yard and peep loudly when I was out of her line of sight. Sadly even with all the love and special attention she passed away. Her lil' grave is located back in our meadow and marked with a tiny little white cross.

...I hope and pray your lil' friend makes it and bless you for helping him along.

...Blessings... :o)

what a perfect little sweetie, just the way he is. I do hope that with all your love and care he finds himself getting stronger each day and manages to survive and flourish despite his disability.
