...that's where you'll find me...

that's right...
on quiet mornings and evenings,
you can find me right here.

...in my comfy stitching chair,
up in my little sewing room in the farmhouse
stitching under the glow of my
Most Awesome Ott Floorlamp!!!!

it has to be thee best present ever gifted me by Peter~
it was an anniversary gift many Moons ago~

it holds my chart,
lights my way,
sorts my floss & threads,
catches pins & needles
and even helps me see
when working on *tiny* count linens...

the only thing that it's missing is:
a DVD player
Cup Holder
Speakers for iPod
Footrest
no...I'm just joshin'...
it is perfect the way it is...
do any of you stitch under one?

I also have a couple of portable table versions,
but this...
THIS
is my baby!

*Joann's, Michael's & Hobby Lobby carry them,
They're expensive (worth every PENNY!!!)
but, you can get a HUGE discount with the store-coupons they give out!
just thought I'd share before heading to a nice cool tub
(was in the 90's here today)
and then to watch IDOL!

Blessings from the Farm,
Lori

Your Ott is lovely. Mine's only a month old, a newbie~if you will, purchased out of necessity, standing at guard and happily clamped to my dough box:)

That lamp reminds me of Rosie the Robot from the Jetsons...not what I expected, so you are a down-home kind-a-high-techy girl?

Such a comfy area to stitch...I've always wanted an Ott lamp, they sound great!

I have a Mighty Bright floor lamp that my husband gave me for Christmas 1 year ago and I love it! Magnification and LED lights all in one!

AND!!! I just got 2 weeks ago a Needlework 4 system. It was expensive but worth every penny. I put some pics on my blog a couple of weeks ago. I got the Qsnap holder and it has 360 rotation for snipping threads easy.

So, I can share your enthusiasm about those special stitching spots too!!! LOL

Lori that looks like a perfect place to be! Yes I agree with the ott light. I have a few portables that I got for 1/2 price..we don't have a Joanne's in Toronto.

Your place looks great and comfy for stitching.. enjoy your bath

Everyone here refers to my stitching chair as my womb and since I have two chairs alike, I always have space for a womb mate. Love the lamp.
Be always in stitches.

Its lovely as is your stitching spot. Nice and comfy looking. I have 2 ott lites also and one is portable and the other is the floor one but its the old version, with the long arm. I love yours I think I am going to have to check that one out. Its so pretty. Enjoy!!

Your stitching nook looks so cozy. I've got a pink Ott table lamp and love it. I have to do my stitching at a table where I can lay everything out and rest my frame on it. I've never felt comfortable stitching any other way.

what a wonderful & cozy stitching spot...the lamp and magnifying glass are two things I definitely need to look into!

Enjoy the day,

I do have my stitching spot - but not one of those lights! I have a portable one for when I am stitching elsewhere.

Lori, love your comfy spot..awesome Ott-Lite..not available in my area:( Michaels.com has a %50 OFF coupon to download...today I bought the only floorlamp in my area...not the nice shade you have and no Attachment to hold my work/no table attached either but I got it for $100.00 instead of $200.00. Do you think I could find an arm to attach for the pattern holder...? bet your Pete could make and sell them :) ok, gonna go put it together...awesome blogs and glad you had a Happy Easter with Mz. Robin's family...(hiya Robin:)) hugs to both of you, Gail in Virginia
