Can you spoil donkey's?
{ me thinks you can...and terribly, too. }

Peter & I have succumbed to those big, brown eyes and soft muzzle-nuzzles...
their laughing guffaws and crazy antics performed while thinking no-one is watching.

How gentle the big Pinnochio is with Daisy,
but all at once reprimanding and reminding her that he is

The Boss...
Their leisurely days are filled with carrots, fresh air, sunshine and rain,
plenty of hay and molasses-laden oats and brushing...
oh, how they love to be brushed....
leaning heavily into you while you turn coarse fur into silk with each swipe.

Every morning,
when I set out to the barn to feed everyone,
there is the usual welcoming chorus of Baaa's, Bray's, Rooster Calls, Clucks & Quacks
(and whatever that noise is that Guinea Hens make)

greeting me with a round of
"Good Morning Mom!"
"Good Morning Mom!"
but by far, is the sweetest, excited little *squeak* that tiny Daisy makes
when she first sees me...
That, my friends,
is Love.
Hoping you all have someone to Love...
who Loves you back....
just for being You.

We loved seeing Daisy and Pinocchio on Sat! We'll bring apples again to give them treats!

Wishing I could hear Daisy's little squeak...that sort of love about makes your heart burst...
Yes, yes, yes. This Ozarks farm knows for a fact they are spoiled quite easily. We have around eighteen donkeys around the Missouri Ponderosa. Hubby is amused by them. The also serve a useful purpose keeping dogs and other critters out of the cattle. We found they also eat the dreaded thistle that is undesirable in the pastures. I'm so glad I popped in.
Ya'll have a wonderfully blessed day from the hills and hollers of the Ozarks!!!
They are so beautiful~ how true it is~ animals are so loving and appreciative~ Thanks for sharing,
Suzy
I'm not even sure how I found you--but I think we share a lot of common interests--like vintage lovelies! Your chairpad is astounding. TRULY. I'll be visiting again!
Awwwww, they're so sweet!
Wishing you and yours a very happy holiday season and a magical Yule!
