while taking an early morning walk this morning,
down in the back, down near the creek...
I came across'd a little band of squirrels.
joyfully oblivious to me (and the dogs)for a moment...
they went about their business
(or, busy-ness)
of
chattering and gathering...
so I just had to stop & see what all the fuss was about.

I had carried with me, my cup of honey-laced tea,
so the cup made a perfect little
carry-all for these golden treasures...
carry-all for these golden treasures...
big, fat acorns!
(smart little squirrels!)
wishing you many happy treasures along your path~
Blessed be!
Blessed be!

Thank you Lori for taking the nuts. This year alone I have had two squirrels take about 20 flower bulbs from my garden!!! JUSTICE SERVED!! LOL LOL LOL

I'm laughing at Missy's comment...but those squirrels make such a mess. I have to say, seeing the acorns makes me smile. There aren't any trees right in this neighbourhood with acorns...it's mostly all maples and poplars. I remember seeing big fat acorns like those when I was a child...and we just took them for granted.
And I love your beautiful tea cup!
Big acorns and I love your tea cup.
Hmmmm...on a walk many moons ago, I too gathered acorns...I put them in a bowl of lovelies and "utoh" WORMS! Better put those beautiful acorns in the freezer for a day or two to be sure there are no unwanted visitors ! Love the teacup! Judy
Those are some HUGE acorns!! The squirrels must be delighted!!! Thanks for sharing.
Hmmm, but mysteriously no caps... me thinks they will end up on delightful pinkeeps from you hands! A tiny ribbon acorn to sharpen my needle would surely be a magical delight! :) Jo
