Freebie Chart for July ~

Hello Friends & Folk!

here's a little something for you to work on during this heat wave ~
a little patriotic design that's simple and quick to stitch!

the DMC Floss colors I charted this with are as follows, but you can use whatever you'd like
Flag ~ 844 (ground)
Flag Stripes & Chimneys ~ 918
Flag ~ 782  (Stars & top of Flagpole)
Flagpole & Roof, Windows & Doors ~ 3021
Crow ~ 310
Front of House ~ 3033
Side of House ~ 422

I intentionally left the other stripes in the flag blank, so the linen will show throughm but you can always stitch these with the 3033

I would LOVE to see your finished work, so send me a pic or two & I'll share them here on the blog!

Another HOT day again today ~ please pray for some mush-needed, soaking rain
(but NO high winds please)
and HURRAY!!! to my friends who got their power back on after a week of having none ~
WooHoo to YOU!!!

Blessings from the farm,
Lori

Reminds me of your painting "Publick House"!! Guess I'll have to stitch it up to go with the painting! THANKS.

A good windless soaking rain would be nice. Stay COOL.

Thank you! It is soooo hot here too. I was outside for less than five minutes with the dog and could feel the sweat forming on my skin. They say 105 today in NE Ohio. Thank goodness for window AC units.

Cute, Lori. Thanks. Our little group is busy stitching patriotic smalls for a challenge that will end July 28, but I don't know if I can fit this in by them.

Again, thanks.

Thanks Lori - it will be perfect hanging on a cabinet knob,
basket, or other.

I second the rain wish, and like you, nothing severe please. I'm
SO looking forward to the cooler temps coming, this has
just been too much heat.

Keep cool,
Pam

I visited your website in the hopes of finding an email address to privately discuss the difficulty I have had in being able to read the pattern for "Jingle All the Way". I notice that the free design that you just posted is charted in color AND you specifically mention the the various items and how they should be stitched. I wish you had done the same for Jingle. The chart is so tiny and the symbols are not clearly printed (they are blurry). It is impossible to tell which of the dark

(cont'd) symbols contain a plus sign, a heart, or diamond. Even my thirteen year old tried to make out the symbols without success. It's too bad. I really like the design - so much so that I went out of my way to purchase it. However, I have been extremely disappointed in the pattern chart and instructions.

(cont'd) I would really like to finish the design, but am unable to do so since I cannot make out the symbols. You have some really charming designs. I hope they are not all so difficult to read. It would be a shame to have to pass on their purchase just for that reason. Lynn T.
