Saying Goodbye ~

it's never easy to say goodbye...
but I'll say it...
to whom am I sending off?
why...hotmuggysticky August, of course!!!
Nocchi can't stand the heat, he says he's all done with it too ~
but, my garden is showing signs of one-last-hurrah:
roses reaching for the now-weakening sun...
the wild morning glories in every size and color are grasping their tiny tendrils
around anything they can get hold of...

my black eyed suzy's are drying up, and creating tons of seeds for next year...
the more the merrier of these cheerful little volunteers the better for me!
a strange, pale morning glory...
...and one last daylily has arrived,
my little angel looks like she's crying over August's end...
not me!
I am embracing September!
these next few months will bring so much joy,
...with shows, classes & new creations...
it is the true beginning of a magickal new year for me
and I'll embrace it with an open mind, & heart ~
Hoping you'll enjoy it with me!
here's to the end of Summer, let the Harvest Celebrating begin!
Blessings from Notforgotten Farm...

Me too! I'm so done with the heat and humidity of this Summer! Time for cool air, pumpkins, apples, baking, slow cooking and woolly hooking! :-)

I could not agree more, I can't wait for those crisp fall days when pies are in the oven, quilts are on the beds, and wool and threads are everywhere.

Boy do I agree! I am done with summer and the heat! Lovely flowers you have blooming

I guess so many of us are in agreement... goodbye to the hot days of summer. Even the drying flowers are lovely...

I am with you! Looking forward to the cooler days, my hoodies, taking walks with the dogs and being able to clean the barnyard without coming in and ringing out my shirt! Bring on Autumn!

I love the anticipation of Fall this time of year...cool mornings and most of the time cool evenings.
I bid Summer a huge farewell too...been a hot one.
Your flowers are still gorgeous.

It was so nice to see you, today. I love the morningglory pictures. Let's hope the Blue Moon and the new month bring on the Fall temps!

I guess I'm the only one grasping to hold on to summer!

I always enjoy welcoming September...the prelude to October, my favorite.

Love the little morning glory photo. I, too, have one last day lily standing tall out back.

Yes, I too am looking forward to Fall with it's crisp clean air and the wonderful Fall colors. It's also nice to cozy up to a warm fire with a cup of spiced apple cider. :0)
