....not your usual White Wednesday

Lots of folks who blog link-up to share their
photos...usually their homes, decorating & beautiful photographs...
so, what is a primitive hooker to do?
well, show a WIP of my white jack'o's, of course !

~ Sideways-glancing & ever-paranoid of becoming a pie...

this one is almost finished being hooked and will become a doll eventually.
a large doll... like a 3 foot tall large doll....
and will be going to the Ghoultide Gathering in October.

...because I need the dolls to be more stable, I'm hooking them on burlap ~
which is not my backing-of-choice, as I sneeze & wheeze from it's fibers...
all hand-cut wool strips, in a variety of whites -
textures, as-is & overdyed for a nice OLD look.

He's kind of shifty-looking, no?

while I'm hooking, I can't help but imagine who he will become...
perhaps he has that expression because a crow has landed on his head?
or maybe he is attempting to be scary...who knows.

the fun has just begun!!!

Speaking of HOOKING ~
Kris over at www.SPRUCERIDGESTUDIOS.COM has released FIVE, yes 5 !!!!
NEW designs for rug hookers like us from my folk art designs ~ so get on over to her newly revamped website and check out all of the goodies !!!

AND (one more thing, promise!)
just to remind everyone, our shop here will be
CLOSED on friday the 13th in preparation for our
ANNUAL Spring Open House on Saturday the 14th
which opens at 10:00 am...

Hope you can come out and see us!!!

Blessings from the Farm!
