Old School ~

I love my computer ...really, I do...

it helps me connect with friends, family and all of you here!

I love how fast I can get in touch with someone, place orders for goodies or ...visit a shop in another part of our ever-shrinking world. I love my needlework, too...even more than I love my computer~ it soothes and relaxes me and keeps my brain semi-sharp

I even design my cross stitch patterns on a software program....

but sometimes...

when all is calm and I have a moment or two...

when I don't want to bask in the glow of a computer screen and play with hundreds of tiny pixels, I get out my trusty graph paper and favortie pen....

I can sit quietly and let me mind wander as my hand pens dots onto squares Over and over again...

Some of my (I think) best work has come from such moments ~

leaving the modern world behind and forgetting about mega-giga-hertz-wurtz...

...whatever....

Slowing down with pen & paper is a joy that has become lost...

I intend to find it again!!!

Hoping you all have a relaxing evening, spent with those who love you most!

Blessings from the Farm...Lori

AMEN to that. I sent my friend a real letter not to long ago. When she got it her husband asked, "what is that about?" She said, it is just an old fashion letter.
We live in an electronic community, hence you are correct, an ever shrinking world.

I know exactly what you mean. The simple little things are absolutely the best. I am so looking forward to your new designs.

I agree also - we all need to slow down a bit sometimes!!
