Witches in the Air....finished!

Howdy Folks!
thanks so much for your emails of well-wishes...
I'm on the mend and finally have some energy today,
thanks to lots of rest & steaming cups of honeyed & gingered mint tea ~

here' the finish for my little
"Witches in the Air"
sampler:

i decided to make it into a hanging pocket...
backed with brown/mustard checkered wool
and hung from dirtied cheesecloth held on by rusty pins and jingler-bells ~

I've filled it with raffia, dried straw
and some really cool
dried pods from the
Lamb's Burr

plants we have growing all over the farm...
(they will be included)

remember, October 1st update on

http://www.earlyworkmercantile.com/
look for Robin there too, along with so many other talented Folks!

Sunny & breezy today,
in the 70's...

a good day to pack a trunk show that i'll be sending off to
The Craft Gallery
in Findlay, Ohio for next weekend...
{{if you're in the Findlay area, stop in to see my models and patterns !!}}

Hope you all have a beautiful Autumn day!!

Blessings from the Farm,
Lori

I love it, it reminds me of the little poem I used to teach the preschools I taught in another life...

Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate,
The first one said,
"Oh my, it's getting late."
The second one said,
"But we don't care."
The third one said,
"I see witches in the air."
The fourth one said,
"Let's run, and run, and run."
The fifth one said,
"Get ready for some fun."
Then whoosh went the wind,
And out went the lights,
And five little pumpkins rolled out of sight!

I really want to learn how to do those hook rugs but I have never met anyone around here who does them. Can it be learned from a book?
