...a little ditty...

I just finished stitching this little ditty...

which will be turned into a tiny child's sewing pocket & offered on ebay this eve...
it is worked on 32 ct hand-dyed linen, 1 over 1 threads...

I love doing these "in between" projects, or 'smalls' ~
whilst I'm working on my larger needlework pieces...
I am making more progress on my
"Witch's Garden" sampler,
and here are the names of the other's I'll be stitching up soon thereaft:

"In the Grave"

"Salem Scholehouse"

and let's not forget,

"A Plump Wife"

(the last one on the list is giving me grief...
I've totally redesigned it...

Rainy here today,
will be heading to the PO & bank.
then back to my stitching chair...

{{{{{don't forget to check my ebay auctions later for the pocket!!}}}}}

I almost forgot!
I have had a number of emails regarding the photo of the sampler on my header...
thanks for your kind words!
(I added an explanation below the photo if you missed it...)

Blessings from the Farm,

In reading your profile...I thought "Wow...we could be best friends!" You are living the life I 'want' to live. Oh to be out in the country again with my animals.
Beautiful work too!

Hi Lori,

What is it about the charm of sewing pockets?
I too have been enjoying creating some for my little birds . . . . I love tiny projects, kind of like immediate gratification!
Your rug class looked wonderful . . . I really wish I lived close! I think I need a vacation home in each of every state!

Happy stitches!
Lori Ann

Today I'll be hookin' your little girl at the beach. I know we need this lovely rain but at least I can pretend it's sunny!!

I think that the sampler you designed honoring your home is beautiful, and the fact that your mother stiched it makes it even more special. I can't wait to see your "Witch's Garden." I think it will be great fun. By the way, I dyed two pieces of linen, one with coffee and tea, and the other with a mixture of coffee and food coloring. Quite an interesting color.
