On my Frame ~

My FAVORITE kind of day today ~
rainy, cool and perfect for needlework!

I love to stitch (or punch) while listening to soft classical or bluegrass music
while the raindrops play their own symphony on our rusty tin roof....

everything looks so green, yet there is a slight tinge of brown to the trees already ~
the rain washes and cleanses and charges the air
and recharges me too!

I showed you previously two little works that I've been making into pendant/necklaces:
I am enjoying this, so I drew up more and am almost finished punching them....

5 more little works in progress...

2 Jacks
1 Moon
&
2 Vines
...in urns

I'll add french knot eyes and teeth,
and little berries of those vines....

almost finished ~

pretty colors of A U T U M N

I love the back of these as much as the front ~
there's just something about thread...

stray threads ready for clipping

That little Witch I showed you has been finished!
here she is next to another Jack:

love to use old sewing items in my work ~
mother of pearl buckles, old bone & shell buttons & thread rings...
and of course, old skeleton keys!
see that tiny button on the Witch's collar?
it is a VERY old, steel-cut button
that I salvaged from a disintegrating Victorian mourning waistcoat (blouse)
I (think) I have about 20 of them (well, 19 now)
and it adds a magical touch to the Witch pendant...
don't you agree?

Have you noticed our new
